Requirements for the Health Code Applications for Foreign Passengers to China

Starting from 18th May 2022 (included) ,

1. Passengers departing from Nigeria are required to take TWO Covid-19 nucleic acid tests in two different designated Covid-19 testing institutions before boarding. 

The first nucleic acid test is required within 48 hours before departure from Nigeria. 

The second test should be taken within 12 hours before boarding. For morning flights (before 12:00), the second test can be shifted to the afternoon of the previous day (after 12:00). For other flights, the second test should be taken on the same day, within 12 hours before boarding.

For passengers leaving from Abuja, the second test should be taken in the A-Medik Molecular Laboratory.

For passengers leaving from Lagos, the second test should be taken in the Genequest Diagnostics Ltd.

2. Passengers with a Covid-19 infection record or positive result of nucleic acid test should truthfully report their infection history and test results to the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General, and go through the following procedures while applying for the Health Code:

(1)Conduct two nucleic acid tests at intervals of more than 24 hours from the institutions designated by the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General, then send the negative results to consulate_nga@mfa.gov.cn (leaving from Abuja) or consulate12308@gmail.com (leaving from Lagos)

(2)After completing the above-mentioned procedures and 42 days after recovery (starting from the specimen-collection date of the latest negative test report), you can start the health code application process. 

3. Fill your application on https://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/ , upload soft copies of the following to apply for the Health Code: (1) all nucleic acid test results; (2) passport data page; (3) Chinese VISA page; (4) travel itinerary with only one stopover from Nigeria; (5) Photos of the applicant being collected the specimen.
